Estimates only

Our calculators give estimates for planning. Real costs vary: your utility's plan may include fixed monthly charges, tiered or time-of-use pricing, and taxes, and appliances use different amounts of power depending on model, settings and weather. For decisions such as installing solar panels, a heat pump or an EV charger, get quotes from qualified local installers.

Rates and prices

Electricity and fuel prices are state or regional averages from public government data, shown with the month they're from. They are not offers from any utility, and your rate may be different. For an exact cost, enter the rate from your own bill. Tax credits and incentives change; check the current rules before relying on them.

Payback periods and savings are estimates based on the inputs and assumptions shown. They are not financial, tax or investment advice.
